About Sunny Lee, CPA

Sunny was born in Taiwan and moved to Canada at a young age, where she built the foundation for her academic and professional journey. She began her studies in Health Sciences at McMaster University, developing a strong analytical mindset and interest in problem solving. She later transitioned to the Diploma in Accounting Program at UBC Sauder, where after only one semester, she received an early offer from KPMG, securing a position upon completion of her accounting coursework.

Sunny spent three years in KPMG's Private Enterprise audit practice, working closely with owner managed businesses across a wide range of industries. Through this experience, she strengthened her technical accounting knowledge, deepened her understanding of financial reporting, and gained valuable insight into day to day business operations. During her time in audit, she completed all CPA requirements and successfully passed the CFE in 2025.

With a growing interest in tax, Sunny transitioned into Joanne's tax practice, where she is now focused on developing a deeper technical specialization. She is committed to expanding her expertise, supporting clients with clarity and care, and building a long term career grounded in continuous learning and professional growth.
